  • Again, it depends on your local and state laws. but, generally, the deciding factor is based on two elements: 1. your past traffic record and 2. the seriousness of your current violation. most traffic courts, based on a guilty plea, will allow you to attend traffic school close to your home, if you live in another state thanks to the computer. just some additional info......
  • In California and in Arizona The Traffic School system is designed to reduce the volume of court cases, so as a condition of traffic school you must waive your right to contest the ticket in court. What most people recommend is submitting a "trial by declaration" request. This way you don't have to show up in court, you just write down what happened. You might win most of these if the prosecuter doesn't get his paperwork done in time. If you lose the case, then you can apply for a "Trial de novo" which means that you start all over again. You would then be eligible to take the traffic school option.
  • It all depends on your previous violations history and how many previous defensive driving classes you have attended. you are allowed 3.
