    An enlarged liver (hepatomegaly) can have various causes. Some of these include

    * Chronic alcohol use,
    * Hepatitis A, B and C,
    * Certain other infections,
    * Congestive heart failure,
    * Infectious mononucleosis,
    * Leukemia,
    * Tumors,
    * Glycogen storage disease,
    * Metabolic disorders, and
    * Vitamin A overdose.

    Please see this website [http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/enlarged_liver.htm] for additional causes of hepatomegaly.

    As far as remedies are concerned, the overlying cause must be sussed out first.

    If you are concerned about the health of your liver, please do not hesitate to consult your physician.
