If there are lots of 'E' numbers, food colouring and additives, also certain kinds of sweetener, then that will be the reason. Smarties used to be like that but now the company who make them have taken out the additives so they are now considered 'ok' for kids to eat! check the ingredient list.

how old are you? im 44 and can have a really good night on a quarter of jellybeans,cheaper than wine and no hangover!!! ive just googled it to find out why and ended up here! id like to understand why,any thoughts?

well ive tried bassetts jelly snakes with no additives etc and still get trollied,to the point even when im chatting online people cant tell im off my face,lol.i love chocci to but it doesnt have the same effect jelly sweets do.have to watch the government dont cotton on or they'll be banning jelly stuff or putting the price up!!lol do you drive? i dont,but was just thinking what you had jellysweets then drove and got pulled and it was obvious you were off your face,they couldnt do you for it,but it does beg the question,when your off it on sweets are your reactions etc the same as if youd taken drugs or got drunk? i know the reaction from others would be well dont eat them then,but who in their right mind would pass by an opportunity to have a good night for under a quid??
