  • I found the easiest way to do these was like this: 390 is 100% of 390 1 is (100/390)% of 390 55 is (55*100/390)% of 390 There are lots of problems you can do this way. At each stage you can check the numbers make sense. For example, looking at the second line, if 390 is 100% of 390 then 1 must be a much smaller percentage ... and 100/390 is a smaller percentage, so its all working so far.
