  • hello aardvark, yes i have. The girl upstairs playing horrible hip-hop at 3 am in her bedroom (above mine)....... fortunately since me and another neighbour complained to our landlord and she was served with notice, she has quietened down a lot. And moved her stereo into the lounge.
    • Urban Spaceman
I gave you a "like" because I like your screen name.
  • Not at all. One of them is doing some semi-major rebuilding of their house and they are a little noisey atm, but only during the day time. A second has the occasional late night party but that only normaly lasts until midnight and even then its not all that noisey!
  • If your asking and you live in a apartment, then I feel for you. I'm lucky that I live in a house, 20 feet minimum from my closest neighbor. But I would move to a older community of neighbors. Quite as a mouse. Just a suggestion, not as exciting as living in the city, but less stressful.
  • Overall no. One of my neighbors (we live in a house in a small neighborhood) went through a divorce a few years ago, and went through about a six month period where he would play his stereo REALLY loud late at night. To the point were he couldn't hear me pounding on his door. Once he got through the divorce, he was fine. We get along quite well now.
  • No, but they pobably think we are.
  • no... I always think that I'm too noisey for my neighbors... Especially tonight... We are kind of loud...
  • It is getting a little rough , though I stay back here in the back of my duplex - I don't want to be involved in any thing
  • Sometimes during pool parties.
  • My neighbors are. It's really annoying, especially if me and my little sister swim in our back yard, they stand on their porch or at their door and watch us. It's really annoying and creepy. I don't like it at all.
  • No. I am the noisy neighbor. I have a huge house and the only way that anyone upstairs can hear you is to scream. Besides that, we go swimming at 1 in the morning, have drunken parties almost every weekend, and have 2 teenage boys and a 3 y/o. someone's always crying about something.
  • If you were here and going by sound you would think there was no one around for miles. so my answer is no my neighbours are great.
  • Their poor dogs that are left out in the 113 degree plus heat are.
  • They are only up every other weekend, so I can handle that.
  • Yes, because they have 7 dogs in a tiny little apartment.... and they barks all day long!!!! Those 7 dogs together make the whole level smell like a dog kennel!!!
  • yes, because they are a herd of elephants and they enjoy DDR. I can only hope that playing so much DDR makes them lose some weight before my ceiling fans come down.
  • My neighbors are definitely the noisiest: a swarm of little kids always running around the yard screaming at each other, and over that is the woman and her boyfriend shouting at each other... It's awful!
  • I live right down the street from an Irish Pub so every FRI SAT and Sun night I go through hell with all the happy drunks coming down my wayI have gone out the next morning to find feces on the lawn and in my driveway urine on my trash cans little garden decor knocked over or sometimes smashed in pieces I have been woken up in the middle of the night by womens screams of their boyfriend/husband/one night stand beating the crap out of em and so on.
  • Not all the time only when they have parties and stuff like last night but that doesn't happen all the time.
  • well the neighbors behind me....she freakn yells at her kids...early in the morning. but then again my familys crazy too...so no one complains.
  • Yes, they have a pack of barking dogs and a pack of screaming kids.
  • YES!! They are above us.. they drink and party just about every night. We heard things that people shouldnt here out on there balcony and once i looked out the window and saw a mattress fly through the air. I cant tell you how many times we have been on the balcony and almost got peed on.. makes me angry. They also have a sound system. enough said.
  • Yeah. Apparantly last night the guy who lives next door was making some girl VERY happy... Coulldnt even look him in the eye without blushing this morning when I went to get the paper...
  • Funny, people next door are older and quiet, but they have a pool in the yard and they are watching their obnoxious 12yo grandson and a friend. Today in the pool with them is the loud, obnoxious 40 yo uncle playing with 12yo kids, yelling etc. My family room is close by, I can hear them yelling from the other side of the house. What can you do?
  • Yes. Noisy dogs and rowdy teenagers make the lot. But there are adults who are just as bad. Our next door neighor's daughter has a very loud, very rude lover.
  • I live in the country and usually only hear the birds, cows, car go by once in awhile, coyote a night BUT theres the city folk who moved in at the end of the road about 1/4 mile from us, with the Sound system they want the whole country side to hear from Friday night-Sunday night and if that all there was for music I wouldn't ever turn on the radio, all we hear is BOOM-BOOM till all hours of the night, every one has called the cops, including the 2 cops who live here. it stops for a few weeks then slowly builds back up. as there is no law for loud music in the country like city living we can only complain and sign complaints, the site them, the stop for short time and then it comes again. big loop.
  • Apparently, yes, you do have to suffer noisy neighbours. In some states there are curfew hours as to when you need to turn your TV and other appliances down after 9:00 o'clock or so. Also, in some states, you are not allowed to let your dog bark after certain hours. There is no ordinance where I live so, yes, I DO have to put up with very noisey people/children from time to time because our houses are so close together and a dog in back of me who barks and howls everyday and night!! Not only is it disturbing to have to listen to all of the time, but I feel sorry for the poor neglected dog.
  • Just my roommate and the barking seals he brings home
  • Unfortunately a neighbor 2 lots away has a drum set in his garage.
  • We got ours tossed out of their apartment. They got thrown out of the one the complex moved them into about 4 weeks later.
  • When I used to live in my apartment, there would a lot of Mexican music blasting from the neighbors. The landlord never did anything about it, though.
  • Yes, but they have to suffer too, HAHAHAHA!!!
  • Yes- at least if you live in any of the apartments that I have. Maybe other buildings have it better, but I kind of doubt it.
  • Noisy? no..nosy...yes I can't stand my neighbor!
  • In our first apartment me and my husbands neighbors kept us up all the time arguing and fighting. Our current neighbors are wonderful.
  • nooo but my neighbour clearly has mental issues and does weird things.
  • Yes, they lived upstairs , in the middle of divorce . The husband is a good father and works 3 jobs, I am retired . When the wife was on a 2 months trip to her country , leaving the 5 years old the the husband who was sick and still went to work bring the little kid with him , I offered to keep the kid so he could finish the work for 3 hours., not asking for money. When his wife came back , she always ask for favour to keep the kid, she took advantage , she told me she was just upstairs , but she went out for 2 hrs without telling me, at less 2 times. I feel not fair fo me and her son. Sometimes when to weather turn -25 or below , I did offer to pick the kid from school which two street down, but enough to freeze you. Now she try to make me on her side . Her husband is my friend. I just replace my door bell with a video door bell , she is up sad . But police told me it is legal. After her husband move out of the apartment for the divorce . She used the washing machine at5:00 at night or make noises by walking loud .
  • Yes. The family under me has a mentally challenged child. For a time her meds were off and she'd scream and slam doors all night.
  • Noisy, nosey, eccentric, I've had them all.
  • No problem at all. I figure noisy neighbors are contented neighbors. I used to live next door to a family that threw a beer party every Saturday night, and the fellow on the other side of them like to come out occasionally and fire his starter pistol several times. No problem at all. I was paying $300 a month for rent, so I would not have complained for any reason.
