No, I have many miltary videos I purchased for an arm and a leg, and I will never find(or be able to afford to buy again on DVD), so the old dinosaur stays in the component rack until further notice;) Also, it's good as an auxillary hook-up for video consoles, camcorders, etc.

I'm afraid it's just you and MG1942. I have a DVR and a DVD recorder. Analog is caveman technology. I hate to rewind and then look at grainy images.
-
I use dvds more but since I still have my old video's I still use VHS's sometimes.
-
No...my mom does.
-
Still slowly converting my VHS tapes to DVD.

I just had a garage sale and my VHS video tapes sold like hotcakes. I don't understand that idiom. Was there a time in our history when pancakes were the biggest seller in diners and breakfast houses? Maybe during the depression, the only thing people could afford on the menu was flapjacks, so that's all that really sold well. I just don't get it.

i still have a VCR at at home. but thank god that we have a shop in town that converts video cassettes and camera casettes to dvd discs, and the quality doesn't get worse.
-
Until I can find a better way to watch TV shows at my convenience, I'll keep using it. As long as I can find a decent VCR, at least.
-
No, I use VHS, but only for home videos. Sometimes for watching Titanic too.
-
I hear Jay does. I put my money into a DVR a few years ago.
-
I still have a few VHS tapes in my library. Including the entire run of the TV show Babylon 5. I haven't bought a VHS cassette in several years, though. If there's something I need to record from television, I still do that on VHS, but most of the time I don't bother--whatever it was can usually be found streaming on the net.

i have 2 vhs's in my house so my children can watch there cartoon tapes
-
I do. I still have plenty of need for one.
-
we do because no one wants to invest on a dvr
-
I've got a VCR but it's not hooked up. When you think about it, they really do suck. I'm glad they have become obsolete.
-
yes---Got any old gay movies you can mail me
-
Yes. My grandma does.
-
Yes, but only because it's a DVD recorder/VCR combo. I lost the remote to my TV and I can't use just a DVD recorder without the TV remote. I tried.
-
my boyfriend still uses it, don't know why. he is so backwards sometimes, electronically challenged.
-
Yes, I thought it was so funny when I heard a friend of mine didn't have a VCR lol.
-
YES! How else am I going to watch my video collection? I certainly can't afford to purchase ALL of them on DVD for quite some times... :)
-
I still use it to record and watch tapes.
-
I still use it. I also have a dvd player too. I don't have much of an occasion to use it but I do have one.
-
Yes. We don't have any DVR and I am wondering if it would make sense to buy one, if Blu-ray replaces DVD. We have still many good movies on VHS, although I have stopped buying any.
