A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms: The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

Im gonna go with the assassins. There is no way for the fir or lions to be bribed.

Lions wouldn't still be alive after not eating for 3 years, so thats probably the safest.

I would say the lions. If they haven't eaten in three years then they would be dead. It might smell, but theres also a good chance that alot of decomposing would had happened two years back.

I over thought the question. I was wrapped up in wondering what "safest" meant. If he is condemned to death, he is going to die. So, I would have picked the room which led to the least painful and quickest death. A room full of dead lions would mean rotting along side them (slow and agnozing and stinky). There would probably be flies in there...and maybe maggots. eww.

Assuming the lions are immortal (i.e they didnt all die of starvation two years ago) , the safest room would probably be the one with the assasains. They are human, so can be bribed, tricked/conned or in one way or another duped. Of course, they would probably shoot on site, but the poor guy dosent stand a chance in a room full of immortal lions or raging fires.

I think there could be two answers to this: the assassins are professional killers so they would have all killed each other but more likely the three lions would be dead because they havent eaten for 3 years :o)

Well, I'd say the room with raging fire would be the least safe of the three. If he/she is a murderer they may be strong, stealthy, sharp-shooting, smooth-talking or just plain crazy enough to have a chance with either the lions or the assassins with guns. ;)

Lions that didn't eat in three years are pretty dead lions, so he would be safest there. :p

Since everyones saying the room of dead lions which seems to be correct, but wouldn't that be too boring? you will starve to death. I would go into the second room the one full with assassins with loaded guns. Maybe i can kill them all and take their guns. Maybe the last one will beg for mercy and he will be my condemned to death friend.
