This could be a lot off things. Timing could be off, catalytic converter could be plugged, faulty plug wires, or (my personal favorite), a plugged fuel filter. A good mechanic should be able to find it for you.
This sounds like a carbuerator or fuel injector problem, either dirty or needs adjusted, but could also be a number of things such as a clogged fuel filter (that is what I would look at first), a timing problem, or a spark plug wire (or fouled plug).
Ever had the timing belt replaced?
I believe it may be past time.
How many miles on your vehicle?
Loss of power is a key symptom of a broken belt.
when you fill the tank add some fuel injector cleaner
Maybe you need a new fuel pump.
Nissan Altima manual tranny starts fine but stalls when in neutral or in gear if clutch is not depressed even when giving it gas. Any ideas?

90s 4.3omc inboard wont start.last time out acted up at full speed fine at 3quarters replaced lower unit last year and carb today.any ideas?

2005 Equinox bogs down in the rain. I loose power in the gas pedal and rpm's drop to idle. Is it an ABS issue or computer? No engine lights

I have a 2001 model Ford Taurus year 2004, 3.0 Lx, While pressing down on gas peddle, it wont rev, it won\'t nothing but idle!!

I have a 1993 RV with 454 Chevy. The engine occasionally quits running while driving on freeway. It quits abruptly. After 15 min it starts.

You're reading My car "missed" on the highway the other day. The rpms dropped for a moment, but it never shut off. Now every time I start it back up, it dies when I push on the gas. What is this and how do I fix it?
