Rather: you draw a conclusion concerning YOUR ABILITY to conclude who is the murderer.

'Inconclusive' simply means that a conclusion hasn't been reached "yet", not that there is no conclusion possible. Therefore, if no conclusion has been made "yet", then you can't have a predetermined conclusion.
