  • I don’t know what you mean by here say but I heard of hearsay which means rumour and legally in a court hearsay is not taken into evidence

  • It's "hearsay", and what it means is: you heard from someone what some other person did or said. That is to say: you didn't hear what that particular person said or see what that particular person did. Rather: you HEAR another person SAY what that particular person supposedly did or said.
