I believe that God is love, not the fleeting and conditional kind we experience. Hence, if everyone was in union with God, with Gods spirit within them, then there would be no war. This is not the case, mans will/ego predominantly rules men, even religious men, hence separation from God, and no room for God to enter in. Man remains double minded and a slave to the flesh. to let go of the ego, means death to him, not life. In humbling himself he fears he will lose something, when in reality he will be fulfilled and fear nothing, for God is fulfilled and fears nothing.
