2 rifles and 2 pistols. I took a hunter safety course but far more important/useful was the training and experience I received in the military.
Does a squirt gun count? No? Then zero, zip, zilch. I have never taken a safety course and will not own a fire arm until I do so.

My husband own 7 and works in law enforcement and ex marine..... and has a Concealed Weapons License
NO & NO. I'd be afraid to own a gun, I can't control my temper & it would be dangerous for us all. BTW Highlander, I wanted to e mail you a question but I don't have your e mail.
I'm asking you because I respect you. Do you agree or disagree with this statement. "You can be against the war but still support our troops". My nephew told me that because I want our soldiers to come home. My daughter says you either support them both or you're against them both. I don't know whose right
Three guns never had a safty course but I have been shooting for 35 years

I own three hand guns one assault rifle and one assault shotgun and thousands of rounds of ammo, and I never had to take a safety course, but I was in the Army for three years.Where I live in Pa you don't have to take a firearm safety course. To get a concealed weapons permit here in Pa all you have to do is pay 40$ list 3 references who they do not call and they will give you your permit that day.It is kind if scary knowing that any yahoo that never got convicted of a felony can get a permit with out taking a course.I think everyone needs some kind of safety course, but gun laws vary from state to state
I personally own four. Yes it was a REquirement to go through "Hunters Safety."
I own 46 firearms at present. Have not taken a formal firearms safety course, growing up out in the country my whole childhood tended to be a firearms safety course :).

none.........but with the state of the union today, I need to change that......The last time I took a safety course was in the AF firing an M16 and I believe someone shot at my target cause I was able to get Marksmenship.
I always told my children: "If anyone ever asks you if we own firearms and how many tell them daddy says it's none of their business".
The first gun safety course was called Boy Scout Summer Camp.
I have about 80 guns, mostly collectibles. I took a firearm proficiency course when I applied for my CCW permit.
I own 1 handgun and have taken a couple of safety courses including a conceal and carry course however I do no take my gun out of the house unless I am going to the range to practice shooting.
I have a large collection. I took a safety course when I was 12. I also took the Texas Concealed Handgun License Class.
Only one at the moment and yes I have taken several firearm safety courses. I would recommend taking these courses to anyone who owns or plans to own a firearm.
I own one and no I have never taken a course
I am very interested to hear what mrtorch has to say on this one. He has been quite "vocal" about pistols and such lately.
