Why is the mental health system to get help is so horrible in the United States ?

Because they're overpaid way too much takes so much schooling to become qualified and not that many people are willing to jump over that hurdle.(Basically medical system in the US in general as a whole is like this.) Also JFK doing de-institutionalization and those community mental health centers being underfunded. Also Ronald Regan cutting federal mental health spending. :I
