  • If we define evolution as the drift in heritable characteristics of organisms over the course of several generations, then of course I believe in it. It's not so much that the weak and stupid die as the organisms with less valued traits are less likely to reproduce as much. The Bible does not command anyone to reproduce without selectivity, in fact, the Bible teaches people to select mates who are obedient and subordinate to their religion.

  • For one thing evolution explains how 'sin' came into the world; we inherited all those 'sinful' characteristics via the genes of our animal ancestors who were killers, thieves, adulterers, rapists, etc.
