  • I know what it was. I don't recall the song. They did away with those in the UK a while ago, either before I was born or when I was very young. I think the USA had something similar that was taken out of circulation more than 100 years ago.

  • A ha'penny was a coin with the value of half a penny when there were 12 pennies to a shilling & 20 shillings to the pound. There were half pennies after decimalisation in 1971 (100 new pence to the pound), they were withdrawn in the 1980s.
