  • 48° is on the cool side for me. (the cool side of 50°) I'm comfortable down to 50 if the sun is shining and the wind isn't blowing. That's the difference. The wind chill factor. Any season. Like in the summer, an a.c. is supposed to blow air that is at least 20° cooler than the room temperature. So if I set it for 75°...Oh this is supposed to be about weather channels and jackets. How about if they made special jackets with tear-off Velcro panels to air condition them? I'd like one for indoor summer wear.
  • Stick your head outside before you leave the house. If you feel like you might be uncomfortable, bring a jacket. Personally, I live in Northern VT. It goes to -40 degrees here with the wind chill, so I'm much more conditioned to the cold than to hot weather (highs here very rarely reach 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer). You'll see me out there with short sleeves at 48°.
