  • I never have. I've heard the song though. I've prayed for rain in Africa before, its been a long time though. I pray more often for the women and children in Africa specifically the babies born without a smile, rape victims and the women with fistula injuries. I prayed for the family and friends of those killed by hurricane Laura. But God blesses, not me. I just pray for Him to bless them.

  • I pray for everyone including the inhabitants of Africa I love this song by Toto, Main writers Jeff Pocaro , David Paitch. I see it as a love song to the great, vast continent of Africa. Especially its beauty,. Please note "As sure as Kilimenjaro rises like Olympus rises above the Serengeti TBH I'm not certain if this lyric is accurate. OTOH doesn't matter to me . I see it as symbolising breathtakikng beauty,

Mt. Kilimanjaro is about 170mi from Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. But between the two points is some rather high elevation, making it unlikely that Kilimanjaro is visibly "rising" as seen at ground level from that point. Billboard published an interview where songwriter David Paich claimed to have had pictures of such a sight.
  • Only Toto does this.😊
