Before reading the final Harry Potter book, did you predict Snape to be a "good guy" or a "bad guy"? Warning: there may be spoilers inside.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew it!!!!!!! I just knew everything wasn't as it seemed. I've finished it about half an hour ago, only just stopped crying. I'm a wreck. Bless Snape, I knew he was ok.

Before I read it I though Severus Snape was working for himself. I was so wrong!

He had to be good. Redemption is key and all that. Nothing new. Look at Lancelot, Gollum and most obviously Darth Vader. I had a fair idea for those reasons. She could have chosen to not follow "the script" but that would be deeply unstaisfying when she has clung to it so closely throughout the series. Still was nice to find out why he acted as he did.

I knew he had to be good because Dumbledore couldn't be THAT far off about him in the first place. He, (Snape), was my favorite from the beginning.

Knew he was going to be a good guy, also guessed at snape and lilys friendship.

I knew it all along! Didn't predict the Snape/Lily friendship though, that was a complete surprise.
