You do not need to quote anyone when what he wrote is there in front of him. My maternal grandfather was a Baptist pastor, and he and his wife also taught school. I was taken to church every Sunday and made to read the Bible daily from age 4 to 18. I also read my grandparents' other books on Science, Literature, History, etc. When I began school at age six, I was reading Science books that sixth graders could not comprehend. I saw conflicts between Science and the Bible by age six and using my grandfather's concordance showed me there are many contradictions in the Bible. I read about the ancient Greek and Norse gods. Later, I took Comparative Religions and Bible History in college. You evidently hate fundamentalists, and they hate you. There is war among various sects and cults.

Quoting is to indicate your faults. Baptists are among the worse denominations who teach false doctrines. Tithing is from the Old Testament, while Once Saved Always Saved is unbiblical. I don't see why you would put your trust on those rotten eggs that have been disposed of by many Christian theologians who study the Bible. You are not supposed to believe every preacher you come across. All pastors do not agree with each other. Agree with the ones who teach sound doctrine.

Chia-Li, you may have read the Bible daily for 14 years, but that does not mean you understand it. From your comments I would say you that you do not understand it. As to my original question, the bible is scientifically accurate. For example the rain cycle. The Bible accurately describes how it works. With regards to health, in Proverbs you can see that it tells you to have a calm heart, Medical practitioners will tell you to avoid stress and anxiety and you will avoid heart attacks.Plus there are a lot more scriptures which will back up science, but lack of space prevents me.

I understand it quite well. MY IQ is the highest in the history of my school. I learn many things amazingly quickly. I began reading it by age 4, and I evidently understand it much better than you do. I doubted it by age six, and that is much smarter than you will ever be. It says twice that pi is 3, it says there was a world flood, snakes talk, bats are birds, whale are fish, etc.

Chia-Li as I mentioned in a previous comment the Bible accurately agrees with Science. But Science does not always agree with the Bible. In ancient times, various peoples considered the earth to be flat, or that it was balanced on the back of an elephant. But in Isaiah it tells us quite plainly that the earth is a circle - Isa Ch 40 v 22,.

The Bible makes numerous scientific errors. A circle is flat. Even in Revelation, we see implications that Earth is flat with the sky being a solid dome 15 miles or less above us. Some ancient Greeks knew much more than the authors of the Bible. They calculated the circumference of Earth and distance tot he Moon. .They knew Earth is not a flar circle but a sphere.

That is true. But it also contains some scientific facts such as the rain cycle, the earth being a circle, also health in the book of Leviticus

It does contain some science, like astronomy, but that was not its purpose, it wasn't written to teach you about the world, it was written for man to return to God through reconciliation, so that God can be all and in all.
