Nope People who talk about "teach your kids to think for themselves" usually are indoctrinated themselves. Hence why it's usually racists, old farts, republicans and cockwombles that say that sort of crap. The reality of the matter is if you give your kids good opportunities to learn and a positive environment to learn in, then they will think positively and progressively.

bostjan the adequate 🥉 Any "-ism" can be indoctrinated, especially progressivism. I'm generally Libertarian, but that's a doctrine, just the same as Conservatism, Liberalism, blah blah blah. Generally moderate-minded people are more apt to judge a situation on the fly, but it seems that there are hardly any moderates left these days, since such folks might be afraid to speak their minds and face the wrath of whatever extremists disagree with them. -

Linda Joy That's true Archie! I had to learn everything for myself so tried to tell my son the best way to do everything until he was about 9 and I realized by doing that I had taught him to ask me everything. So I started asking him what do you think. He definitely thinks for himself.
