The above answer is correct, I would suspect the fuel pressure regulator, if you pull off the vacuum line going to it and fuel comes out, it is blown and you need a new one.
This isn't really a carburetor, but is called "throttle body injection" the fuel delivery is controlled much the same way as other injection systems. There is a fuel pressure regulator as well as throttle position sensor, temperature sensors, and oxygen sensors that all work together to determine fuel rate. Most units this new would have on board diagnostics, which can be checked with a code reader. This may help eliminate the guess work, and is generally done for free at your local auto parts store.

You're reading My 1996 motorhome has a gm 454 with an elec carburetor. the injectors on the carb are dumping way to much fuel and the engine wants to die out when i put it in gear. what regulates the the amount of fuel to be dumped?
