Cool, I'll hunt it down and answer it!
  • He wants action...as well as praise... (James 2:26) Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. What are the ' works '? (Matthew 28:19, 20) Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

And yet 1st Corinthians 13 tells us that if we have not charity we are nothing.

Yes! And what is charity?? 1 Corinthians 13:4 "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;" 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." Can we do these without fault or 'falling short' or 'missing the mark'?

(Matthew 26:11) For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. Jesus did not make the poor his priority...He accepted the fact that there will always be poor people...He gave charity where is was possible, but his main concern was preaching the Kingdom. Matthew 28: 19,20 The ' poor' problem will be solved AFTER Armageddon. When wickedness, which causes poverty, will be eliminated.

To answer what is charity. It means love. If one does not do these with love then their words, they become as sounding brass.
  • No. But not because of anything to do with religion. Rather it's because such sentiments tend to attract trolls who spoil it for everyone else.

That's true, and while I already decided not to flood the questions list with spiritual questions exclusively, it wouldn't hurt to put a few there. I do believe we all need to ask more questions.

I just hate it when Christians have to remain quiet because they don't want to step on any other people's toes due to the reason they might not enjoy God as ALL people should.. LOL
  • Aren't you Mormon?
    • Linda Joy
Yes. Do you believe in the 11th Article of Faith? We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
  • What would please God the most? Using his personal name and being obedient to what Jesus taught...

If you ask for questions, that's one thing. On the other hand if you are praising God that's a whole other thing. Sort of KIS

Raising questions about HOW a person should please almighty God is what started the J.W's...that is when Rutherford and later Russell reaised that mainline religions were following traditions rather than what the Bible asked us to do...and the present GB [ you all know this means Governing Body] still put scriptures under the microscope...so as to be properly obedient. Example...Acts 5:42...preaching door to door. Using God's name...Exodus 6:3 No icons or statuary...Exodus 20: 4,5 Jesus knew this and did not change it... And on and on...
