Where I live, Ohio, there are no hurricanes. No bad earthquakes. But we still have floods, tornadoes, and taxes.
    • Linda Joy
We don't have earthquakes but we have the rest.
  • Water, I just hosed down the house to make it cooler and it worked. Nice thing is I didn't have to start at 4 pm like last year and keep the hose on it all afternoon. One time worked this years due to work done on the windows for which I'm also thankful.
    • Linda Joy
relief from this heat is definitely something to be thankful for!
    • Linda Joy
and we definitely wouldn't live long without water.
  • I'm thankful for today because the weather is very nice. I enjoy this weather.
    • Linda Joy
Where are you and what kind of weather are you having? I get a little bummed when it rains for several days in a row. I like sunny weather. Today it's a little overcast but at least it's not real hot like it's going to get.
    • B.H. Wilson
Although I live in the northern U.S., it gets hot. I have heavy insulation in the walls and ceiling because of the cold in winter, but I discovered that thick insulation helps keep the hot out too.
    • Linda Joy
insulation and antifreeze are alike in that respect we don't have a lot of cold weather down here But we do have to deal with the heat and humidity.
  • The girls at Dunkin Donuts made my coffee the right way. It's the small things....
    • Linda Joy
(Smiling) and today I'm thankful that you can be thankful for the small things. It makes a huge difference in one's life if they can appreciate the little things.

I hate when they put cream in my coffee. I always say black, but about half the time they put cream in it anyway. Always gotta check. It's those little victories that count.
    • Linda Joy
I know what you mean! My son used to always order his burger with no onion, I ordered mine with no pickle no mustard they would mess it up almost every time!
    • Thriftymaid
      Indeed!
  • Setting up and taking nourishment, going to work greeting my children as they boarded my school bus seeing their smiles, being able to work, Having good people to work with and for, and above it all having the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour! Along with that, the list is just too long to post here. Just praising the Lord is enough!
    • Linda Joy
My list could go on forever too! It's awesome that you see your blessings and know their source!
    • Thriftymaid
We've so much to be thankful for. :) 8-12-2017
    • Linda Joy

Have you ever taken prozac? If so how did they compare? I took myself off prozac (Fluoxetine). I think it may have saved my life! But it also caused some side effects and when I no longer needed it I just weaned myself off of it. Praying for good results!
    • Boola Boo
I took prozac once, it was ok. Meds work differently on everyone. Glad prozac worked for you when you needed it.
    • Linda Joy
Me too, thank you. And with these type meds they can work for a while and then change as well, which is probably one of the reasons patients are required to be monitored while they're on them. Praying for you.
  • I am thankful that God blesses me and people on here with a good sense of humor. I am no longer on antidepressants and not hardly ever down that far anymore either.
    • Linda Joy
      Yay! Me too!
    • Rick

    • Linda Joy

    • Rick

  • Everything, life is good. : )
    • Linda Joy
It's great when we can see life that way! I've also had enough good memories to carry me through the tough times giving me hope for a better future. This, too shall pass! Thank you for your encouraging attitude, hopefully I'll be able to reflect it back to you one day when you need it!
  • Linda your gonna hit me for this but, I'm thankful for many things but on the 16th of every month just thankful it ends. I was canned 20 years ago on the 16th of June and to this day I hate the 16th.
    • Linda Joy
I don't hit. But I think it's important for you to realize you're voluntarily giving away your happiness for no good reason whatsoever. There are far too many things in life that steal your happiness for you to just voluntarily give it away, but if you want to choose to be unhappy I guess you have that right.
