  • you hoard too much stuff
  • you run out of space, which is happening. Then you have to get rid of it and feel bad about it.
  • You buy and buy and buy
  • ....you stow up questions from other waste-time Q&A sites. :P
    • Linda Joy
What is "stow up"? And why do you waste your time answering them?
    • Wakko
I have nothing but time to waste. You'll be seeing a lot of me. I was here for quite some time until the site shut down and I was thanked for my patronage.

    • Linda Joy

  • Your mattress is on top of a pile of junk, rather than on the floor.

Does food storage count? hahaha! My sister put her mattress and box springs on top of her food storage! I forgot about that till now!
  • You keep stuff you haven't used in 5 years. You keep stuff if it's broken and tell yourself you'll fix it later and never do. You have to turn sideways to get through every door of your home. One or more of your rooms is unusable for purpose. You keep out-of date, produce or products. You can't see your floor.

Five years? I had better get rid of those fire extinguishers and smoke alarms.

You should replace fire extinguishers every 5-10 years and smoke alarms every 10 years anyway, according to NFPA.

But the date says 'best by' not 'expires on'!
  • you can't bear to throw away even the most useless of junk? That sounds like a hoarding problem.
    • Linda Joy
But what if I repaired my vehicle with one of those useless pieces of junk? I'd have been stranded on the interstate if that piece of junk electrical wire hadn't been in the trunk! Sure you can call your uncle, but I'm an independent woman (junk hoarder) who likes to do as much as I can for myself.

You just never learn. Look up the word Tort. In the US, you will be held accountable if an object on the property attracts and injures children. The rule applies to almost anything that poses a hazard, including car parts, junk cars, and all sorts of scrap metal. Citations in the amount of $150.00 can go up to $500.00 if the vehicle is not removed.
  • you collect junk cars for parts? Try visiting an auto parts store for a change.
