VERY SIMPLE! Cream - Roll - Cut - Cook! Ingredients: 150g of butter 100g of sugar (preferably brown!) 200g of plain flour A pinch of salt Cream the Butter and Sugar until light and fluffy Add the flour and mux to form a dough. Add in salt Roll out dough and cut into cookie shapes Cook for 20 minutes at 160 degrees C on the middle shelf. Now for the best part... EAT!

I've got a recipe from an old Chocolatier magazine from the late 80s that makes the best huge cookies, chocolate and mocha, soft enough to use as an ice cream sandwich cookie. They have cracks on the top and well, they are awesome. But I don't have the recipe right now as it's still in storage and it's not online anywhere. I've meant to ask my husband to find that box! But I haven't yet. Thanks for the reminder, though. Now I have a quest!

This chocolate chip one. 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 3/4 cup granulated white sugar 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup walnuts or pecans, coarsely chopped (optional) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) with rack in center of oven. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside. In the bowl of your electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), cream the butter. Add the white and brown sugars and beat until fluffy (about 2 minutes). Beat in eggs, one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition. Add the vanilla and beat until incorporated. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and beat until incorporated, adding the chocolate chips about half way through mixing. If you find the dough very soft, cover and refrigerate until firm (about 30 minutes). For large cookies, use about a 2 tablespoon ice cream scoop or with two spoons, drop about 2 tablespoons of dough (35 grams) onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake about 12 - 14 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges. Cool completely on wire rack.

ever...like of all time? hmmmm i make chcolate cookies with white chcolate chips like backwards chcolate chips i use the recipe from tollhouse with a few personal changes 1 being i use jello pudding mix in lieu of the oh-so-expensive baking coaco and second i don't actually use tollhouse white chcolate chips but rather grnrioc brand on accont of they, too are cheaper theses cookies go like hotcakes
