Do most fiction books consist of a theme whereby usually some innocent person gets the shit end of the stick by being hurt by others?
A terrible fictional divorce from reality useless to learn from.

A lot of book do this, that's true. It creates a reason for the heroine to fight and win against the evil doer. However, this is sort true in reality. Say for instance you gas some kids, then that provides the good guys the motivation to render justice.

I should hope not. It's bad enough when that happens in real life without reading novels about it.
