Are the Jackalope protected from being hunted ? Shouldn't they be on the endangered species list ?

Ice man Don't get too close, if they turn and charge at you they'll spear you with their antlers. I tried to shoot a couple in southern Alberta and I couldn't even get a shot off before they just about chased me down. -
