Does this mean Im adopted?
So I have ADHD, but my parents dont, and their 100% sure they don't have it. My siblings dont have it. My parents don't know anyone on their sides of the family that have it.
Scientists say ADHD is 90% genetic, and is more genetic than height. Scientists also say that people with ADHD typically have a close relative with the disorder. I have come to realize that Im the only one in my imediate family and grandparents with ADHD. My natural skin color is much lighter than my parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, great aunts/uncles, and aunts/uncles.I dont think I look like anyone in my family. My mom always gets asked if Im her real son or not. A cop even asked me if she adopted me. People dont think I look like my dad either. The shape of my head is a very different shape from my parents, and siblings. Theres no way those are my parents, and if I wasnt adopted there mustve been a mix up at birth.

Have a honest communication with your parents and asked them if you were adopted? They have the answers, so ask them 😊 I'm guessing whether you are their natural or came from their heart, you are loved and ADHD just makes you that more special 😊 The words I see are....."estimated 75 to 80 percent of variation in the severity of ADD/ADHD traits is the result of genetic factors." Variation in the severity? What's that? You could also be the 25% to 20% that are not do to genetic factors. Talk to your parents 🙂
