  • Whichever gets your heart rate up and pumping..
  • Good question... I would say biking for 5 miles because you are using more muscles and force to get through the 5 miles. I ride my bike to and from work everyday, its only 2.5 miles. It is not as easy as it sounds!
  • Walk! Wear comfortable, well fitted shoes, comfortable loose fitting clothes. Take a bottle of water with you to drink. Find a pleasant/ interesting and safe place to walk...enjoy the scenery! Try not to walk along a busy street, not just because of the traffic hazards, exhaust fumes are not what you want to be breathing in! You can walk around a mall, museum, park or even your own back yard...the point is to walk, breath and give that heart muscle some exercise!
  • I used to be an avid cyclist, subscribed to various magazines, and I remember reading that cycling took about 1/3 as many calories as walking. But do whichever one you'll stick with and find fun, or do both for variety.
