  • I don't know, I'm 6'1" and shrinking with age. It would have been better to be a bit shorter; I've no idea why a guy would think that increased height would make him more attractive, unless perhaps he was 4' tall.
  • I guess it's the old notion that bigger = manlier. It's a dumb thing to us, but I guess it's important to them.
  • I am 6 foot tall. I think that is just fine. I would not want to be taller... lol some times I think it would be nice to be a little shorter.
  • In all honesty I'm 6'1 but when I was younger I always said 6'2. Thinking back I remember every one of my freinds always said they were 2-3 inches taller than they really were. I remember thinking, wow if my 5'9 best freind tells everyone we meet that he's 6'0, I have to raise mine too and say 6'2 (knowing I'm 6'1). In reality with the normal Docs that I wear I'm easily 6'2 in my boots. Funny thing is probably the only people who even think like that is men, so they're worried about appearing 'weak' to their peers. In in reality women just would rather have complete honesty. It seems the biggest exaggerations stem from guys that are 5'10 and shorter and the average male height in the US is about 5'9. Coincidence? Tom Cruise usually states he's 6' but he's more like 5'7
  • Assuming you aren't dating any boomers (guys born between 1945 and 1963) it could be they all are actually 3-4 inches taller ... or would be if they could stand up straight: Gen-Xers and whatever they call the one after that all slouch. Also, after a hard day most mature men often are about 2 inches shorter than they were when they left for work in the morning. Just settling and disk compression, exacerbated by fatigue.
  • Haha... This has happened to me quite often... The tall guys always seemed to have told the truth.. but the shorter ones underestimated their height by several inches. It's an ego thing... They don't want to be shorter than 6 feet... but lying about it, surely won't make them grow.
  • Well if you asked who has a short pe--s,would they tell the truth and say yes or would they lie and say no?lol no what im saying.
  • Ya I know. It just makes them look stupid. My ex-boyfriend told me that he was 5'10". I could tell, he was more like 5'8". My dad is almost 5'10" and he's taller than him! The guy was closer to my height (5'7", btw). Not all of them lie about their height. Some of them don't think about it. And that's cool.
  • Well it's obvious why men lie about their height and that's because women almost always want a super tall man and for women it's usually starting at 6' for men. So of course men are going to lie because for some weird stupid reason women think that they need a super tall man 1. for looks and 2. for protection. But I then ask a very simple question and women will never give a straight answer and that is what do women need the protection from? Rarely and I mean rarely do women ever need protection especially in this day and age when people rarely fight these days. It's such a stupid answer that women give and also the next question is who is going to protect you from your tall asshole boyfriend? Women refuse or can't ever answer this question. Also to answer your question a lot of women like to wear high heels even if they are shorter than there boyfriend and women don't want to be taller then there boyfriend or at least be perceived that way. Women are so fixated on height especially now days it seems like it's almost the most important thing in a relationship for women. Please get real height is height that can't ever be changed. But if we men say anything about how weight is important to us women get so pissy but it's true women if they want can lose their weight where as height is height and it's impossible to change a person’s height PERIOD!!!
