I'm not really sure there is one that I would consider a cure. There are many "snake oil" remedies on the market but I've heard of none that have the desired permanent effect. There are two "drugs" that offer some hope of hair but I'm not sure the side effects are worth the hair they might grow. In both cases, if you stop using the drug, any hair that has been grown with it will eventually be lost. One is Propecia- for men only! side effects : They included less desire for sex, difficulty in achieving an erection, and a decrease in the amount of semen. Women who are or may potentially be pregnant must not use PROPECIA because of the risk that the active ingredient may cause a specific kind of birth defect. (See Patient Product Information for details.) Likewise, women should avoid handling tablets that are crushed or broken. PROPECIA tablets are coated to prevent contact with the active ingredient during normal handling. In addition, some men may have breast enlargement and/or tenderness. You should promptly report to your doctor any changes in your breasts such as lumps, pain, or nipple discharge. (and they want you to ingest this stuff? ) The second, a topical treatment, is Minoxidil (commonly advertised as being found in Rogaine) Side effects include: Itching or skin rash (continued) Acne at site of application; burning of scalp; increased hair loss; inflammation or soreness at root of hair; reddened skin; swelling of face Rare Blurred vision or other changes in vision; chest pain; decrease of sexual ability or desire; fast or irregular heartbeat; flushing; headache; lightheadedness; numbness or tingling of hands, feet, or face; swelling of face, hands, feet, or lower legs; weight gain (rapid) Don't know which you'd find more attractive ;) While there are surgical methods of rearranging hair on your head, they can also weave real or synthetic hair to your existing hair or glue the stuff to your head. You have to ask yourself if you really need it that much. Hopefully you're not one of those that has resorted to the "comb over". If so, you're not fooling anyone but yourself! Cut it short and you'll look 100% better! (forget the rugs too!) Hair does not make the man, any more than clothes do. A confident, self assured man is infinitely more attractive whether he has hair or not. We're are in luck though, as balding or shaven pates have come into fashion, of late :) While I personally have taken to buzzing my hair short, i don't think i'll be breaking out the razor anytime soon. I hate having to shave my face and am not going to to more of it on my head! I look at the bright side of baldness, I no longer have to waste money on haircuts (at an avg of $15 a pop, it adds up) I've no need to buy combs or brushes either. Not to mention (although I will) the cost of shampoo and conditioner and assorted hair gels/sprays. Relax, don't worry about it and use the extra money you've saved to do something nice for yourself. One word of advice as the warmer weather approaches, don't forget the sunscreen! :) Your brother in "chrome", Mike D.

I have been bald for years,I mean smooth bald.I somehow heard of a machine called a violet ray machine which was invented at the beginning of the 1900's.I researched for weeks for I am sceptical of so called cures.I bought one through e-bay to test it.My model is from 1920,as the old machines are the best.Anyways, how it works it an electrical current goes through to a hand wand.I small light bulb shaped like a small rake is inserted. The bulbs colour is violet because there is argone gas inside.I rake the bulb over my bald spot.Small sparks are created between the skin and the bulb.I am not a scientest but apparently the process causes the blood vessels to flow. The bottom line is hair growth.I thought I was seeing things but over a few months a lot of sparce hairs, and a full head of small hairs that are growing. This is no joke and is really happening, for I am tired of been bald.Healthy scepticism is fine but I gave it a chance and it is working for me.The good thing is it is not a drug and the bulb is the only expense, after the machine.

Minoxidil is clinically proven to reverse male pattern baldness. It needs to be used regularly and if the lotion is discontinued the original condition will return.

Aloe vera, amino acids, healthy diet. I 23 years old, just turned, and my hairline is receding on the top sides slowly. I started taking a daily vitamin regiment over the last six months, and although my hair hasn't thickened any more it hasn't gotten thinner either. Then I went to a local "natural" store, called Sunseed Foods. The lady there told me that pure aloe vera revitalizes hair into growing. They also carry a shampoo that has a natural blend in it that seems to work with regular use.
