Is it a gopher or a mole? Cats won't eat moles as a rule. As for any other, a foot is good, usually. I just throw them in the trash, myself.

I heard that humans are buried 6 feet under, hence the name for the TV show "Six Feet Under." That's how deep we are buried in order for animals to not smell the bodies.
