Which better represents Life and Society - figurative painting or photography?

• lol... I'd almost go for painting myself. A photograph is just (literally) a snapshot... a painting can be made to have significance. There's very little luck in a "significant" painting.
  But I can't paint, so I have to make do with a camera :)

• Don't kid yourself. There's a huge difference between a snapshot and a photograph.

• Oh, I'd agree with that compleltely. I meant more "a thin sliver of time and life captured and presented." I hope mine tend toward photographs more than snapshots, but if they're good snapshots - I'm happy. :)
