    Ocean is gone...

    I was tubing down the willamette here in oregon this last saturday and I was laying on my tummy looking down into the river... when I stumbled across a ladybug struggling in the water... I picked it up and put it on my tube... It stayed there the whole time I was floating down the river... When i got to my destination I set it on a lilly that was growing in the park...

    I think it was last summer. Of course I couldn't tell if it was a lady bug or one of those similar looking beetles. I set it free. I had no need to keep it and have it's life fade in a jar or something to that effect. (Nor did I wish to squish it).

    i held it hostage until several thousand of the ladybugs dealt with my aphid problem. Then I let her go.
