  • Yes this really annoys me! Especially when people talk about other countries and claim they are not racist but just hate the country theyre talking about hmm!
  • Yeah it does. Any racial slur is offensive, even when used by someone of that race. If racism is ever going to be wiped out, ALL people are going to have to stop using these words/expressions/phrases. Also, I don't know why you were downrated for this question.
  • No, its a free country, I was taught to respect everyone, no matter what race when I was young, and with most of my friends being non white, I learned at a young age what was acceptable and what wasn't. It all depends on who you're with and what people consider racist, most of my 'black friends' (I hate using that phrase) tell me not to skirt around an issue or a word, don't say "n word" say the actual word. that kind of stuff. Just my personal thoughts, you cant judge someone just by passing by and hearing them say something *you* consider racist, because you don't know the full story.
  • Yes, it bothers me. If they are someone I do not care about and I can get away with it, I simply choose to not speak with them. Of course, in an employment setting, I have no choice. If it was a friend or loved one of mine who uses the word (bear in mind my friends and loved ones do not do this), I would tell them that it upsets me and why. I would ask them to not use these words in my presence and, if they made an effort to not, I would continue to speak with them. If they did not make an effort to change a simple word or two to make it more pleasant and comfortable for me to speak with them, then I do not deem them a friend. I also do not like when the word "gay" is used as a negative connotation ("that's so Gaaaaay"). I really do not like when someone says "gypped" as "ripped off" ("I was gypped out of $20"). The fasttrack to ending communication with me is to use the word "gypped" (that word came from the word "Gypsy"). I only give them one warning on THAT one. The others I will just remind them a few times and, if they do not stop, I choose to exercise my rights to not speak with them or, if I have no choice such as a job, I speak as minimally as possible with them.
  • Im not racist.....I have 5 color TVs....;)
