In an economics curriculum, I would say yes. It would have to be scholarly, of course, and could include such subjects as arranging finance and capital, legal compliance, bookkeeping requirements, site and fixture selection and acquisition, partnership, management strategies and techniques, ... I believe it would be both an academic and a practical asset to the students and the community, and would supplement the volunteer learning programs whereby people practice these policies. Incorporating a real implementation in the school or community would enhance the learning and possibility take in some income to offset school expenses, which are growing out of control.
