  • this is the full question I just started selling on ebay and so far it hasn't been a good experience. Firstly I'm not that good at it yet, I don't know certain steps to selling and the right way to go about them yet. I just tried to sell an item and. One question to any one that has a ebay seller account, do you automaticlly get funds credited on your paypal account or do you have to confirm the tracking number from shipment first?
  • If someone pays you through PayPal the money goes right into your PayPal account. However what kind of PayPal account do you have? If you just have the basic, you cannot accept payments through credit cards, only direct bank payments or ones from their PayPal account. I had to step up to the business account so I could accept cr4eidt cards. It's amazing how many bidders you will lose if you don't accept them, just like a brick and mortar, I bet. You don't need to use their shipment methods or anything like tht, that is your choice.
  • WARNING - NEVER EVER EVER release an item before being paid into your pay pal account. There are phising scams with emails that look like they are from paypal getting you to part with the item, often after a very high bid has been made to entice you.. Any email like this asking you to ship and then send a tracking or shipment number to get your money IS A SCAM !!
  • Go to Boxaroo.com. They are the easiest way to sell on eBay. They help you create auctions quickly all from your Internet browser, they monitor them, collect payment, and send you all the packaging materials you need to ship to the buyer (including a pre-paid shipping label!). They solve the problems commonly associated with selling on eBay: photo hosting, PayPal account requirement, knowing the best times to start auctions, establishing credibility as a seller, etc. And right now they've got $1 promotional shipping for all their sellers and a $10 sign-up bonus (credited to your account once you complete your first 3 sales). Try it out and spread the word! -Jonathan
