what is snopes?
-
Yes, sometimes I do. I've found Snopes to be a good, no-bull source for debunking common urban legends for example. I try to use other serious sites as well, before I make up my mind about something whose only claim to accuracy is: "I read somewhere...", or "somebody told me..." : ).

Often times, yes.

I go there sometimes but occasionally I find they are not very open-minded to some medical things that are either undetermined or that I know to be true according to my own personal knowledge or research. Kind of like Quacks, I take them with a grain of salt.
-
Yes. I double-check with many sources, but Snopes is one of my first stops.
-
Only if I suspect it might be true.
-
Absolutely. I found Snopes about eight years ago and check the daily stories each day. It's a great source for debunking all sorts of rumors and legends.
-
About once a week I get something from somebody that just reeks of urban legend. Snopes rules.

not everything, but on anything that just doesn't sound right to me ;)

sounds like youre a lot of fun

No, instead in general I just don't rely on e-mails or rumors, although I've been taken in by them from time to time. It just doesn't happen often enough that I would check in there all the time.
