    Billiards has no black ball.

8 Ball: "If the Eight-Ball is potted on any break, the balls are re-racked and the same player will break again."

9 Ball: The black ball is irrelivent, it is just another ball. Pocketing the 9 ball ends the game. "It’s possible to win a rack off the break if the 9-Ball drops into a pocket."

Snooker: It is impossible to win from the break.

Standard UK rules says it is. American 9 ball is a bit different, the black ball is the 8 ball and is just an ordinary ball, the 9 ball is the important one, and if that is potted off of a legal break then the game is over and the breaker wins.

In a game of spots and stripes (blue and reds ect ect) and using standard UK rules, YES the player who pots the black if it is done off of a break wins.
