You're reading '95 Escort check in light came on and is now running on 2 cylinders out of 4, same day my '94 Toyota p/u check engine light came on, it cranks but will not start. Can sugar in the gas tank cause this?

Wow. I've been a mechanic for 30 years and can't diagnose a bad coil that fast. Both cars, same day? Sugar fouling injectors would produce this symptom precisely.
