Help answer this question below.
Does he stick a finger in your ass while you are having sex? If I do, then stick it in my GFs pussy, she gets a bladder infection everytime.
Make certain that anything that will touch your genitals is clean. Shower and have him shower too. After sex, urinate. Immediately after. Not 10 minutes later. Drink lots of fluids so that you can flush any bacteria out of your urethra.
I have heard that most bacteria come from the bowel, so pay extra attention to cleaning well.
I used to get TONS of bladder infections until someone told me that IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEX you NEED to urinate...
Even if you don't feel the need, try.. trust me.
Once I started doing that, i no longer get UTI's.
Good luck.....
hey, i have the exact same problem! every single time i have sex i get an infection without a doubt!!! im usually ok for a day afterwards and then hey presto i get a seriously uncomfortableness and infection strikes! I have had tests, ultrasounds of my bladder a cystoscopy (camera inside my bladder) still no answers! I have spoken to several doctors and none seem to have the answers. From what i have learned the only things that seem to have worked for me are...
*urinate after sex, straight away as bacteria can multiply up to 20 minutes after sex enough to cause infection.
*drink as much water as possible to flush anything out, also try drinks such as cranberry as they are alkaline and balance the natural ph of your bladder.
*things such as a spoonful of bicarbinate of soda in a glass of water can also help as its alkaline based.
*wash your genitals after sex straight away. I use a special initmate feminine wash from boots but im sure your local chemist will have one. Helps restore natural balance.
also i swear the pain of infection in the bladder is the worst most uncomfortable pain i have ever experienced (yet to give birth! i hear thats quite painful) but my doctor perscribed me with diclofenic tablets. They are an NSAID drug which means non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. They work wonders! they get rid of the inflammation in the bladder caused by the infection and taken with a strong painkiller they helo to ease the disscomfort! I never leave the house without my diclofenic and paramol (strongest over the counter pain killers) it is safe to take NSAIDS with paracetamol based drugs.
I hope this works! Im currently training to be a nurse and each time i ask doctors i work with for any advice! i hope this helps!

Is your partner uncircumcised, and is he cleaning behind the foreskin thoroughly?
Definitely follow the above advice! In addition to those things, you should urinate before sex as well. Goodluck!

You're reading I get bladder infections almost everytime that I have sex with my partner. What am I doing wrong? And what can I do to prevent it before or after sex?

Yep that's exactly what can happen. Bugs that should live *only* in the bowel cause problems for the vagina.
