Help answer this question below.

My niece just got dumped by her 1st real boyfriend & sex partner. I am trying my hardest to help her but she doesn't want to hear it. I'm 32 & she's 18 this month and falling apart. I need help. Any advice?

    All you can do is support her and let her know that you love her. What kind of help are you trying to give her? She's been dumped and she's devastated -- there isn't anything you can say to make that go away. Just let her know that you're there for her and take your cues from her. Maybe she just needs to wallow for a little bit. She'll come around, and she'll appreciate your sensitivity (eventually).

    just tell her your more than happy to talk, (don't drag that out though), explain briefly that your there for her, and give her lots of hugs and kisses. if she wants more, she'll come talk

    You most likely have a wealth on knowledge on this subject since you have had more experiences but also being young I know that talking about being rejected so harshly can be very embarrassing to talk about even with close family. I remember when I broke up with my first boyfriend I didn’t want to tell my mom what the reason for doing it was. You have to be there for when she needs you but pushing her for info would be the wrong move cause that will just push her further away and think that what happened was even worse. She needs to forget it, so maybe suggest going to dinner and the b her a bit of a good time and be there when she knees your shoulder cause thought I was tough and could keep it in and a few weeks after a broke up with my first boyfriend I was crying needing a hug from my mom and she was there to put on the superhero outfit like family can do so well and helped me.
