Plan a real meal for after work, probably dining out, and taking fruit and healthy snacks for the time at work. And maybe a few boiled eggs.

Eating lunch is REALLY IMPORTANT! (especially for me as I'm diabetic). Assuming you eat breakfast (bad idea to skip that too!), your blood sugar starts to drop as the food you last ate is digested and moves into processing. You now have lowered blood sugar..this relates to a drop in your energy levels and can interfere with your ability to do your job at the highest level of success! It slows your brain, your body, and sets you up for additional problems with your metabolism! It makes it harder for you to loose weight or to maintain a healthy weight too. Ideally, if you are following a HEALTHY/BALANCED diet (all things in moderation!) you SHOULD BE eating 4 small meals a day...5 or 6 if you are diabetic. (and trust me IT's a pain in the ass to try and pull THIS off!)

I'd pack a lunch to eat around your normal lunch time so it doesn't throw off your routine and mess up your dinner hour.

yes! Atleast a snack if not lunch

I have to have lunch around noon, so yes, I will take my ice cooler with a sandwich, an apple and one diet cola.
