  • There isn't an "average" weight for a passenger jet! Even the same plane can vary quite a bit from empty (no fuel, passengers & cargo) to with a full load. For example, a Boeing 767-300 with PW-4050s engines weighs 79,560kg/175,400lb empty and has a max takeoff weight of 159,210kg/351,000lb. Thats is a difference of 175,600 lbs for the same aircraft depending on the load.
