  • I think the computer server can best be worked by deleting accounts of people that opened one a ways back and never asked a question or gave an answer. Other accounts should be kept open since it allows people to come back when they can. If the second category/group dont return for quite some time though, they should be sent an email and asked to respond if they wish to keep the account open.
  • An unused account would be a brilliant manipulation of negative space. To send a kind reminder to accounts not used in a while would be the kind thing to do. Rude and offensive account holders should be sent a warning. Never-ever used accounts should just be snipped. Those accounts are bound to take up too much space! And heaven forbid, they'll probably open more...
  • Of course yes! But that would entail tremendous work for the staff.
  • dont see why not-if the question isnt answered or the account unused no sense in keeping them going--good idea have some points--smile and enjoy the night---could always ask again or open another account--might see the question phase put into play but doubt the accounts deleted because it would lower the number of accounts that were being reported to advertisers and that would lower the revenue
  • It would be an excellent idea for the basic user base. However, this is a business, folks, and don't you forget it! Advertising dollars are bolstered by membership numbers, and that is a plain fact. The more 'members' AB can claim, the more impressive and lucrative their site appears to potential advertisers. This is a reality. Deleting accounts would do nothing to help sell AB to advertisers and would actually hurt them.
  • Having read the other answers, and me being one for "quick solutions", I must agree with taylor. If you asked me something involving my nursing skills, I would have more insight. Advertising and the world of bussiness, not so much. I do like AB, as I find myself thinking a bit broader and deeper than in the past about things I know little about. Thaks for the heads- up, Taylor!
  • No I don't. Unanswered questions can always get answered, even after a year or more. I've done it and even seen quite a bit of other answers added. Many questions, even unanswered ones, pop up on Google when people search for information. That would bring them to Answerbag afresh. They could maybe join ands ask their own question. And nothing wrong with one-time users. I've noticed just recently that when the staff emails people, they remember this place and come back, even after having just visiting this place once. The more traffic this site has the better for them
