I have a widescreen laptop and when i create a powerpoint slideshow it has the two black strips down the side. Is it possible to stretch the slides so they fill the whole screen, or atleast make the custom background fill the whole screen?

Go to file, click Page Setup. Change the Width to 16 inches and the Height to 9 inches.
