That would not be all true. A perfect diet should include every type of food because you should eat in moderation. So a low carb diet would not be good for you, you may see a good outcome right away, but in a long term diet, you will need these things, just not a whole lot, so try everything in moderation and you shall see.

You need to eat whole grains. Even whole grains have carbs and can be high in carbs, but they are healthier carbs than refined carbs.

No. My wife has been on exactly that diet for the last year, and she has lost 60 pounds as well as cured her asthma, her sleeping problems, her PMS, and her backaches. She can also now walk a block without needing to stop and take a long break. She is still about 150 lbs overweight, but she's also still consistently losing about a pound each week. She hasn't suffered AT ALL under the diet you describe, so I can't say it sounds unhealthy in the least.

Refined carbs & sugars that are high on the glycemic index (how close a food is to glucose sugar) also trigger an insulin hormone response, and this response tells your body to use carbs for energy instead of body fat. Therefore you can't work on losing the body fat if you're constantly eating refined carbs. So this is another great reason to stay away from refined carbs -- with the exception of post workout meals! where body's blood sugar need some replenishment (Gatorade, for example). In addition, refined carbs/sugars are digested right away, so you don't feel full for so long ... leading to a vicious eating cycle. Complex carbs on the other hand, due to fiber content, takes a while to digest, helping you stay full much longer More on insulin here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulin

No this is a quite healthy diet. Refined sugar and trans fats damages blood vessels so everything in moderation.

In the run it's bad for you but i did it for like 3 months and lost almost 60 Lbs. so I think it sounds very healthy.
