I sit "almost" outside every morning. I get up extra early so I won't have distractions. By "almost" I mean I'm sitting in the 4 season room with all of the doors open. I can listen to the bird and the ducks.

Was last weekend, I was up in the mountains visiting my inlaws cabin. I was not completely alone, I had her dad with me, but we both sat in a boat fishing in complete silence (except for when we hooked up ofc) for about 6h. I love doing that! I can sit and fish all day long and just be so at ease

This afternoon... I went to the woods and, when the rain started, I sheltered under a tree watching some buzzards. I then took this photograph:

Although I had my cell phone in my pocket, it did not ring during the last full moon when I spent three hours with my telescope just looking (again) at some of the steep mountains on the moon.

I haven't really done that since the hurricane's. It was just one thing after the other for about a year, then, I was taking care of my grandmother, then my father and my husband; and, now I just log on AB.

If I tried to sit outside at the moment I would probably sink and drown ,it has been raining so much. The views from my garden across the fields in the evening are nice usually and very peaceful. Number three is rather like the back garden at the moment.

It has been a couple of weeks.

Not too long like 6 hours ago i do it every night and sometimes in the morning.

I love to lay on a blanket in my yard and just look at the sky. The clouds are amazing, the color of the sky is like nothing else, it is truely a thing of pure beauty.

A couple weeks ago when we went camping, even though there were other people there at the time, it was very quiet and peaceful and relaxing. I'd love to go outside right now and chill, but chilling is not possible in summer (tomorrow it's supposed to be 98 degrees outside where I live, wtc!!) and I'd be eaten alive by mosquitoes. :3

I do it every day and evening, we are in summer at the moment, and the evenings have been just picture perfect, sitting on the deck in teh evening, looking at the sky changing colour and shape, its just beautiful

About 8 hours -- my normal time for meditation is in the morning right after I get up. But "just took the world in" doesn't quite fit -- in Zen meditation, the outside world isn't the primary focus of attention: it's the simple presence of being here and now, and being aware of thoughts and other internal content as it arises, changes, and subsides. That kind of "just watching" is invaluable to me, because that's where I see the strange things that my mind has been up to the previous day and have an opportunity to let them go.

I don't remember.

I do that every day, sometimes twice a day. I find it almost shocking that so many, especially young people, think they always have to be talking to someone, have music on, text message, talk on the phone, watch TV, surf the internet and so on. It demonstrates a deep seated fear that they cannot be alone with themselves. Someone very wise and famous (his name escapes me - Pascal, perhaps) said something like this: All of man's problems stem from an inability to be alone with themselves in a room.

every weekend
