What a great question Steph! Welcome to AB! I am a licensed psychotherapist and doing a Doctorate in Naturopathy. I work for a Medicaid (known as Mass. Health in Massachusetts) managed care organization. Prior I consulted to nursing homes. In the former, I find our medical director, colleagues and many members interested in hearing about mind/body suggestions. In the latter (a little more rooted in the "medical model") I found family members craving alternative ideas to assist with chronic health issues of their loved one's. These are 2 environments I love(d) to work, because they involve allopathic medicine, as I work to build bridges between the 2 fields. I hope this helps. Please keep in touch.
