I agree. I think it is just that people get used to it. I much prefer a red wine.

Some people actually like the taste. It's just the way our bodies are, we're all different. Some people don't like chocolate, if you can believe that :)

It's an aquired taste. If your raised around it you probably are more likely to enjoy it, just like anything else. Also after about the third one, it tastes like candy.

I love beer as much as I love life....

I think beer is more of an acquired taste (meaning you get used to it), also a lot to do with the taste is the quality of the beer. I prefer something like Sam Adams as opposed to Budweiser (which tastes like piss water), also light beers go down a little smoother

Horrible beer tastes horrible. Not all beer tastes the same. If all you've had is generic Budweiser, Coors, Miller, etc then you haven't had good beer. Many people like Heineken or Corona, I personally love Killian's which is a red beer. Some people LOVE Guinness, I personally can't stand the stuff. As a general rule, I never drink beer from a can.

It's definitely an acquired taste. Once you've been drunk (and enjoyed it) several times, you acclimate yourself to the taste of beer. After a few, you can't really taste it anyway.

It's not a psycological thing at all, people have different tastes for instance I think cigars taste disgusting, it can be aquired by anyone though. the egyptians were brewng beer 4000 years ago for the taste and it has been drank ever since then, it could be argued that it was only consumed in most places because of the lack of safe drinking water however. I do remember watching a tv show called 'Meet The Natives' where three jungle tribesmen were taken from the jungle and flown to britain for a month in a sort of role reversal experiment. they sampled some bitter which is a type of beer I don't know you get in america and claimed it was the best thng they had ever tasted.
